In Chicago, price* wen lower. In the
Eastern region, prices were unchanged to
lower. Elsewhwere, prices were
unchanged. The market tone ranged barely
steady to mostly weak. Retail demand was
generally light to no better than moderate,
and was best for the occasional retail few
tore. Supplies were at least adequate to
ample, however, mediums were usually in
the better position. Breaking stock supplies
were adequate from regular sou roes, and
demand for additional product was often
limited as dealers watched market develop
ments. Light type bens were fully suffi
cient for immediate slaughter require
ments.
