the leadership activities
and conferences where
she can develop her
leadership skills.
The contests the
members attend and
the field trips taken
allow her to “get to know the other mem
bers in my chapter. I have learned many
lifelong skills in FFA and will carry them
with me throughout my life.”
Rachel plans to attend college and
major in elementary education. She has
served as chapter second reporter, histo
rian, and is recording secretary. Addition
ally, she has served on several commit
tees, including earnings, savings, and
investments: as recruitment chair, as chair
of the leadership cooperation; and chair of
the human resources committee.
She has completed market lamb pro
jects and off-farm work at Yoder’s Coun
try Market and CVS Pharmacy.
Charlene Deeter
Four-year Albion FFA member Char
lene Deeter enjoyed attending Farm Show
because it “was a fun experience.” She has
completed projects in small animal care,
including cat, turtle, hamster, mice, and
dog.
Charlene. 18, is the daughter of Maijor
ie Fleeter, Albion. She plans to be a horse
breeder and boarder, received a small ani
mal care honor, and the Greenhand and
chapter degrees.

attend Penn State for an associate’s degree
in ag business management

to attend college to become an elementary

Erin has served on various committees
and participated in a range of activities,
including citrus sale. Food for America,
pet therapy, Ag Day breakfast, calendar
sale, bulb sale, and others. She received a
fust place in senior prepared public speak
ing in 1999, a first in several fair mini
exhibits, and placed high in the interview
contest.
