Compared to last week; Feeder steers
steady. Steer calves steady to 3.00 lower.
Feeder heifers steady to 2.00 lower on lim
ited numbers; heifer calves 1.00-3.00 low
er. Demand good for yearlings; moderate
to good for calves. Buyers more selective
for kind and condition than past two
weeks. Numbers of feeders that had been
lotted and fed nearly as plentiful as green
feeders. Feeder cattle in thin to moderate
flesh including several dried out 6 weight
yearlings. Calves showed complete range
from thin to fleshy. Wcigh-ups average to
full. Quality of supply plain to average, end
attractive. Much of the state has received
3-6 inches of tain during this first half of
December. Slaughter cows 2.30-3.00 high
er. Slaughter bulls 1.00 higher. Demand
extremely good from packer, replacement,
and feeder cow orders. Holidays ate Just
around the comer and numbers will be
short over the next two weeks. Total of 750
cows and bulls sold with 32 percent to
packets. Receipts this week 10,400; last
week 8,008; last year 10,097. Supply con
sisted of 59 percent yearlings and calves
