A6-LancMter Farming, Saturday, December 11, 1998 National Grain Market SL Joseph, MO Wed Dec 08, 1999 USDA-MO Dept Ag Market News Daily National Grain Market Summary Wheat and com bids continued their downward spiral, today, pressured by fund selling on the Board and some export uncertainties. Soybean bids lost all of yes terday's gains after reports of rainfall in Southern Brazil and lower meal demand. Wheat 1 to 5 cents lower. Com 1 to 6 cents lower. Sorghum 2 to 3 cents lower. Soy beans 8 to 12 cents lower. Indications that the Russian donation package has been put on hold due to administration displeasure with Russian actions in Chechnya, weakened wheat bids. Also, increased esti mates for Argentine wheat exports was a factor. Reports show it was hiked by one million tonnes. Light overnight CCC purchase of wheat and lack of country movement, limited declines. Com bids were moderately lower on repotted profit taking on the Board, despite good over night foreign sales and indications Japan will purchase overnight. Sharp declines were seen in bean pits after forecasts reported showers in Southern Brazil over night and fund selling set in on the Board. Lower soybean meal prices was also a weakening factor.
