Demand very good on plain to average quality. Feeder steers and heifers steady. Bulk supply calves. Calves in medium to fleshy conditions. Wetgh-ups average. Scattered showers pushed through the state Monday evening leaving behind a trace to 1.5 inches of rain. General rains still needed for the state's wheat belt. Slaughter cows steady to 1.00 higher with full advance on lean cows. Slaughter bulls 1.00 higher. Demand very good for all classes as this the last major market in the state for the week. Total 415 cows and bulls sold with 40 percent going to packets. Receipts this week 5,800; last week 11,986; last year 6,339. Supply consisted of 48 percent year lings and calves over 600 lbs; 44 percent calves and light yearlings under 600 lbs; 8 percent cows and bulls. Heifers comprised 43 percent of feeder and calf supply. Prices follow with weighted average weight and price in parenthesis.
