ATLANTA, GA
NOVEMBER 23, 1999
NATIONAL EGG MARKET - AT A
GLANCE
Prices continued unchanged to lower
throughout the country. The market tone
ranged steady at times to mostly weak,
with the larger sizes in the weakest posi
tion. Retail demand was moderate to most
ly good as the Thanksgiving holiday con
tinued to stimulate seasonal consumer
interest. Supplies of all sizes were avail
able to ample, however, the extra large and
large sizes were usually in the longest posi
tion. Breaking stock supplies were fully
adequate to instances burdensome from
tegular sources, and demand for additional
product was very limited. Light type hens
were fully adequate for current processors’
needs.
