ing of the Penn State

from three industry categories -
producers, industry representa
tives, and educators
During the annual meeting,
president Jeff Hostetter
thanked Chris Swartz and Peter
Witmer, who are stepping down
from the Dairymen’s Club board
of directors after serving two 3-
year terms Jeff Hostetter was
reelected to the board, and Jean
Kummer, Butler, and Kara
Tusey, Tunkhannock, were
newly elected to the board for 3-
year terms.
Dr Larry Muller updated the
Club on the Department of
Dairy & Animal Science. Dale
Olver presented the dairy judg
ing team and their achieve
ments this year. Mark
Mosemann, Dairy Science Club
president, reported on the club’s
recent activities and upcoming
events, including the 75th

In other business, the Club
discussed developing a
Foundation Herd at Penn State
and hosting a dairy careers day
in the spring. They also unveiled
the “Penn State Dairymen’s
Club First Edition” half-pint
milk bottles. 295 limited edition
bottles will be sold for $lO on a
first come, first-served basis.
The club plans to introduce the
second edition at next fall’s
annual meeting on October 27,
2000.
The Penn State Dairymen’s
Club is a non-profit support
group whose mission is to
enhance activities between the
dairy industry and the Penn
State College of Agricultural
Sciences. New members are
