DELMARVA BROILER/FRYER
MARKET. FEDERAL-STATE
Movement of ready-to-cook whole birds
remained sufficient to keep the bulk of
offerings cleared satisfactorily, particularly
on the 3 pound sizes which were generally
noted as tight Live supplies were mostly
moderate; weights were mostly desirable
to heavy. Processing schedules were mod
erate to moderately heavy. Less than truck
lot asking prices were 1 cent higher at 52 to
64 cents. Trade sentiment was steady to
firm. In the parts complex bone-in breasts
were adequate to well cleared. Wings
remained tight at some plants, fully adequ
ate elsewhere. Leg items and boneless
skinless breasts were fully adequate for
immediate needs

and a few buyers reported problems find
ing tracks for immediate shipments. Offer
ings of bone-in breasts continued tight, and
most buyers kept purchaaea to a minimum.
All other items were generally more than
adequate to cover current needs. Retail and
distributive movement was seasonally
quiet, and only slight optimism was noted
for the beginning of the month. Hie market
