A26-Lancaater Farming, Saturday, October 16, 1999 Manheim Fair Livestock Sale Report Derick Bollinger sold his champion market hog to Manheim Auto Auction auctioneers, represented by Tom Girvin for $5.25 per pound. Lori Hockenberry looks on. John Tracy sold his champion market lamb to Fulton Bank represented by Lowell Frey and Mike Firestine for $3.25 per pound. Lori Hockenberry looks on. Other highlights of the sale include Jeremy Kready selling his reserve champion FFA steer for his medical expenses. He wasn't able to fit and show his steer so Jordon Wolgemuth did the work for him. The steer sold for $4.50 per pound to Manheim Auto Auction. Also a cake was auctioned off to help pay traveling expenses for the livestock teams and brought $5lO from Conestoga Auction. The champion market steer shown by Travis Donough sold to Mrs. Walter Heistand represented by Mrs. Heistand and Cliff and Lynn Orley for $3.50. The steer was donated back to be resold for awards to the youth at the Manheim Farm Show and brought $1.60 per pound. Todd Zurin, left photo, sold the grand champion Holstein feeder calf to Manheim Auto Auction represented by Greg Gehman for $2.00 per pound. The reserve champion Holstein feeder calf, in the photo to right, shown by Adam Zurin, sold to Kenneth and June Zurin for $2.25 per pound.
