East Central District Show
BEAVER SPRINGS (Snyder

)airy Show was conducted Aug.

fairgrounds.
One hundred and fifty-two 4-H
md FFA animals were catalogued
or the show. Type judge was Rick
Vilen. Erin Ritter served as the
.howmanship judge and Nancy
arrett was die fitting judge.
Samantha Troxell of Middle-
Nirg in Snyder County was the
iwner of both of the champions in
he Guernsey and Milking Short
10m breeds. The FFA member’s
1- cow sired by Dan BA
je& WCA Starwars was the cham
jion in the Guernsey breed and a
unior calf sired by GMC Redpath
(ustin was the champion in the
VI ilking Shorthorn show. The re
serve champion in the Guernsey
show was a dry cow owned by
wOlumbia County 4-H member
Dayton Berger of Orangeille.
In the Ayrshire show, a senior
2- owned by Jennifer Mc-
Williams was the grand champ
on. The champion was sired by
Bonnie Brae Heligo. The West
Snyder FFA member also owned
he reserve junior champion, a fall
/earling. The reserve champion of
he Ayrshire show was owned by
Montour County 4-H member Ja
son Bird. Jason’s intermediate calf
was sired by Forever Schoon MM
Cornelius.
The champion Brown Swiss
was onwed by Melissa McWil
liams of Beavertown. Her 4-year
old was sired by Towpath Telstar
Aytola-ET. The reserve champion
was owned by Snyder County 4-H
member Amanda Hauck of Mid
dleburg. Her senior 2-year-old

burg FFA member Selena Hollen
bach. The reserve junior champ
ion was owned by Melissa Mc-
Williams. The best animal owned
and bred was owned by Andrew
Walter of Lewisburg. The Union
County 4-H member’s senior calf
was sired by R Hart Christians
Pride ET.
There was one big winner in the
Jersey Show. That was Renee
Norman from Liberty. The Tioga
County 4-H member was the own
er of the grand champion, junior
champion, and best owner bred
junior animal and the reserve
junior champion. The grand
champion Jersey was a junior
2-year-old, sired by Greenwood
Poseidon ET and was also award
ed the best udder award for the
breed. The reserve champion was
owned by Emily Norman also of
Liberty. Emily's senior 2-year-old
was sired by Comfort Royal Alf
and was named the best senior
owner-bred animal of the Jersey
Show. Renee Norman’s winter
calf was named the junior champ
ion and best owner bred junior
animal. It was sired by AU Lester
Topkick-ET. Her spring yearling
was named as the reserve champ
ion and was sired by Easton Alf
Klassic ET.
Jennifer McWilliams was the
owner of the grand champion Hol
stein. The senior 3-year-old was
the big winner of the show. Her
cow was also named the best own
er bred senior animal of the Hol
stein and East Central District
Show and the cow having the best
udder of the Holstein breed. The

Charles-ET. The reserve champ
ion of the Holstein show was own
ed by Randy Wolfe of North
umberland County. The 4-H
member’s junior 2-year-old was
sired by Highlight Mr. Mark
Cinder-ET.
In the Junior Holstein Show, J.
Daniel Kenamond of the Mifflin
burg FFA was the big winner. His
winter calf was named both the
junior champion and the best own
er bred animal of the Holstein and
District dairy show. The calf’s sire
was Carnation COunselor-ET. The
reserve junior champion was own
ed by Brenda Shultz of Montour
County. Her winter yearling was
sired by To-Mar Blackstars Hero-
ET. Jake Myers of Sire Power pre
sented the champion owner
breeder trophies at the show.
