For Jim Grove of Autumn-View Holsteins in Pe tersburg, the Central Pennsylvania Championship Show Aug. 21 at the Huntingdon Country Fair grounds didn’t end with the selec tion of grand champion. Grove kept showing his Holsteins again and again to win top honors in the best three females, produce of dam, and dam and daughter class es and finally the premier exhibi tor award. The premier breeder award went to the Steve and Marion Jones family of SWJ Farms. Scott Jones won reserve grand cham pion in the youth show. Delmar C. and Larry Zimmer man won grand champion of the open show with their senior 3-year-old, Mu-Ke Linjet Megan. Grand champion of the youth show went to Desirae Hillcgass and her senior 3-year-old, Locker- Lane Emory Babe. Reserve grand of the open show went to Ronald Hough and C Loch-An Brae Sky Nocho, the cow he entered in the 125.000-pound class. Reserve grand of the youth show went to Scott Jones and SWJ Encore Vic toria, a 5-year-old. The open show’s best bred and owned animal was Darren Peach ey’s senior 2-year-old, Peach- View Prescott Skye, hi the youth show, the best bred and owned animal was the reserve grand champion animal owned by Scott Jones. Her fa'l yearling, Oakhaven Milan Pa tience, was junior champion of both the open and youth shows, and her fall calf, Brush-Creek-Vu BC Kasper-ET, was selected as youth reserve junior champion. Breezy Farms, owned by Rob and Gary Kocher, showed their sum mer yearling, Breezy-Farms Lead Donna-twin, to win reserve junioe champion of the open show. Show judge John Burket from East Freedom said he participated in this show 28 years ago and complimented the success of the show, as did Pennsylvania’s secretary of agriculture, Samuel E. Hayes Jr. John A. Foster Jr. and Alice L. Foster of Globe Run Farm in Petersburg chaired the show committee.
