Movement of ready-to-cook whole birds
was fair to good and was sufficient in keep
ing the bulk of seller offerings cleared
satisfactorily. Live supplies were mostly
moderate; weights were mixed in a full
range of light to heavy. Processing sche
dules were moderate to heavy. Less than
trucklot asking prices were unchanged at
S 3 to 65 cents. Trade sentiment was gener
ally steady. In the parts complex, the avail
ability of breast items increased as taying
interest slowed and was only spotty at best
Leg quartets and wings were noted as in
good demand and the supply of each was
tight at most plants.
