Jon Henson presided over the meeting. For an activity the club learned how to properly care for their leather tack. As a service to Leßoy Horst, the club cleaned two of Ids saddles and bridles. On July 16, Renae Weaver, Krista Musser, Jenica Messner, and Melissa Eshelman partici pated in the county 4-H horse show in Columbia. Look for Jenica, Krista, and Renae at the district 4-H horse show Aug. 28. The club, as a community ser vice project, cleaned the algae off Mrs. Webster’s pond July 26. Discussions were conducted on the food booth at the district horse show, a club trip to Knoebel’s, and a community ser vice project at Emerson Apartments. Demonstrations were given by Chelsey Saam on taking a trip to the veterinarian with her dog and on milking cows, Tim Carey on folding the flag, and } Eileen Walker on Monarch but terflies. Refreshments were pro-, vided by the Empet family and cakes were made by project members. At the second July picnic/meeting, a vote was taken on a date for a club trip to Knobel’s. Demonstrations were given by Caroline Carpenter on parts of a horse, Matt Pavelski on shooting a basketball, and Anthony Pipitone on his upcom ing trip to Italy. Reports were given by Lafira Van Cott on the one-day trip to Philadelphia, Chelsey Saam, Holly Carey and Jonathan Onyon on one-day camp, Jessica Sartell on horse roundup, and Heidi Page and Ryle Miller on the Knoebel’s trip.
