Sonnens Show Grand At Northern Tier Championship
MESHOPPEN (Wyoming
Co.) Adam and Lisa Sonncn of
Richland showed the grand
champion of the 15 th Northern
Tier Championship Holstein show
held recently at the Wyoming
County Fairgrounds in
Meshoppen.
Judge for the show was Dennis
Patrick of Woodbine, Md.
The Sonnens’ grand champion
was Frogmore Maverick Classic, a
4-year-old.
The Sonnens also showed the
junior champion of the show, a
spring yearling, Sonnen Leadoff
Coupedc Ville.
The reserve grand champion
was a junior 3-year-old, Whitter
Farm Mandel Bev, owned by
Delaware Valley College.
The reserve junior champion
was a fall yearling, Sugarcreek-Vu
Dust Trixy, owned by Alfred and
Mary Sparling.
Premier breeder of the show was
Bur-Le-Acres of Mt. Pleasant,
owned by the Kevin Burleigh fam
ily. Premier exhibitor of the show
was Delaware Valley College.
In the youth division, the grand
and senior champion was a bred
and owned senior 3-year-old,
Pack-Herd Encore Belle-Toll,
exhibited by David Packard of
Troy. It was also best bred and
owned of the open and junior divi
sion shows.
The reserve grand and reserve
senior champion was a 4-year-old,
Braund-Valley Peanut, owned by
Craig Sheeley of Troy.
The junior and reserve junior
champions were both exhibited by
David Packard of Troy.
