Compared to last week: Feeder cattle
steady to 2.00 lower. Steer and heifer
calves 1.00-3.00 lower. Demand light to
moderate. Quality plain to average. Wdgh
ups average to vety full. Feeder cattle in
medium to moderate flesh, few fleshy. Top
side of market not well tested as bulk of
cattle either plain or full or both. Slaughter
cows 1.50-2.00 higher. Slaughter bulls
steady to 1.00 higher. Demand vety good
as packets try to fill kill requirements on
short numbers. Total of4oo cows and bulls
sold with 65 percent to packers. Receipts
this week 7,485; last week 8,703; last year
12,197. Supply consisted of 73 percent
yearlings and few calves over 600 lbs; 22
