planted weekly so there is a con
tinuous supply of buyers
throughout the season.
He will go into more detail
about the ins and outs of mar
keting at the field day. Attendees
will, of course, have plenty of
time to spend in the field as the
event begins with a farm tour.
Petersheim and Wimer will
illustrate the benefits of the
dwarf white clover paths (no
need for cultivation is one big
plus), discuss insect trapping
and the role of ladybugs, explain
why “good fertile soil” is the key
to disease-free plants, and talk
about harvesting methods, the
value of spreading compost, and
the importance of planning how
and when to plant - particularly
if a continuous supply of a crop
is desired.
