D2-Lancaster Farming, Saturday, July 24, 1999 COLUMBUS, Ohio One of the dairy industry’s best-known cooperative leaders have been selected as the national Dairy Shrine’s Guest of Honor for 1999. Thomas L. Lyon, chief execu tive officer of Cooperative Resources International in Shawano, Wisconsin, will receive the award at the annual ban quet of National Dairy Shrine during World Dairy Expo this fall. Lyon has been a major player in the diary cooperative busi ness since becoming general manager of Midwest Breeders Cooperative in 1975. Under his leadership, the organization consolidated with Minnesota Valley Breeders Association to become 21st Century Genetics.
