Editor:
With my reign as Crawford
County Dairy Princess at an end, I
would like to thank the many peo
ple and organizations that helped
make my past year of promoting
the dairy industry a success. First,
I thank my team of dedicated dairy
maids and alternate, who were al
ways there to help me with the big
promotions and were willing to
fill in when I was unable to attend
an event.
This year, we completed over
400 promotions, reaching thou
sands of people. This could not
have been accomplished without
the support of this newspaper,
which was always willing to pub
lish the articles I submitted, or the
local radio stations who aired my
public service announcements. A
special thanks to WZPR for re
cording those spots.
I must also thank all of the

groups and organizations that in
vited me to speak at their meet
ings, and the many individuals
that supported me, each in their
own way, throughout the year.
Most importantly, I thank the
dairy farmers of Pennsylvania for
their dedication to an often chal
lenging profession that is so vital
to our health and economy.
It has been a challenging year
for me and my family, but the re
wards have been many. I have
made many new and lasting
friendships, and will carry this ex
perience with me throughout my
life. I recently crowned the new
Crawford County dairy princess,
and I know you will all continue to
support her in her dairy promoting
efforts. It will be an educational
and rewarding year for her, as it
was for me.
