    Hampshire, Shropshire Jacpot Show
WESTMINSTER, Md. The
Maryland Hampshire Sheep
Association and the Penn Mar
Shropshire Association have
announced the first joint
Hampshire-Shropshire Market
Lamb Jackpot Show intended to
promote these breeds as produc
ers of outstanding market lambs
and to create interest in these
breeds.
The Jackpot Show will be
held Sunday, June 11, at the
Carroll County Ag Center in
Westminster.
Judging will begin at 3 p.m.
with entries accepted up to
weigh-in time at 2 p.m.
There will also be a covered
dish picnic starting at 1 p.m. and
a showmanship clinic between
the weigh-in and the start of the
show.
This show is open to all mem
bers of 4-H or FFA without
regard to state of residence and
will be conducted according to
the following rules:
1. All exhibitors must
belong to 4-H or FFA.

entries per exhibitor.
3. 65-pound minimum
weight with 5 pound tolerance;
no maximum.
4. All entries must be sired by
registered Hampshire or
Shropshire rams. Registry num
ber must be provided on entry.

6. All lambs must have
approved Maryland or inter
state health papers.
7. Wether and ewe lambs
will be shown in four classes
divided by weight. No rams will
be shown
8. Lambs must carry all
lamb’s teeth.
9. Animals must be owned
by the exhibitor.
10. Exhibitors will be
required to remove bedding and
manure from the fair grounds.
11. Entry fee (must accomp
any entry), $lO per head for

disc leveler to the options avail
able for the ecolo-til 2500 (an
already multi-functional, preci
sion tillage tool designed to
boost yields by improving soil
tilth while allowing the farmer
to customize the amount of
residue left op top of the soil).

DMl’s ecolo-til 2500 will provide
farmers with even more tillage
