Grain Market St. Joseph, MO Tue Jun 22, 1999 USDA-MO Dept Ag Market News DAILY NATIONAL GRAIN SUMMARY Grain and soybean bids were slightly lower, today, as good crop ratings and con ditions added pressure. Wheat steady to S cents lower. Com 3 to 4 cents lower. Sorg hum S cents lower. Soybeans 3 to 4 cents lower. Good wheat yields have been reported with USDA using 40.7 bushels per acres for all wheat However, harvest delays continue in Oklahoma and Kansas due to wet weather conditions. Some areas in Oklahoma and some of the soft red wint er wheat and soft white wheat areas have reported declines in crop conditions. Bene ficial rains in the Midwest and Com Belt areas weighed on com and bean bids. USDA has rated the com crap at 73 percent good or excellent and showed 3 percent beginning to silk. Soybean planting is progressing with crop condition ratings very good in most areas. Good overnight export sales of com but soybean orders are very poor this year. Meal bids are lower due to lower com prices but soy oil prices have firmed.
