    Solanco FFA Banquet
The annual Solanco FFA
Banquet was conducted April 15
at the Hoffman Building on the
Solanco Fairgrounds.
Approximately 175 members,
parents., and guests were in
attendance.
Greenhand degrees were
awarded to 24 first-year mem
bers. Other winners included:
• Star Greenhand degree -
Ellis Kreider, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Scott Kreider of
Quarryville.
• Chapter degree was award
ed to 25 second-year members.

Cedar Crest FFA Conducts
34th Parent-Member Banquet
On Thursday, March 11, the
Cedar Crest FFA held its 34th an
nual parent-member banquet at
Cedar Crest High School, with
mote than 225 people in attend
ance.
Jason Balsbaugh, chapter presi
dent, opened the banquet at 7 p.m.
The welcome was presented by
Chet Brubaker, chapter reporter.
Erica Homer, chapter chaplain,
gave the innovacation. After a
hearty meal, Amanda Martin,
chapter Vice president, introduced
the many guests.
Jason Shirk and Brent Copen
haver gave out the certificates of
appreciation to Darrin Grumbine,
Mr. and Mrs. Amos Balsbaugh Jr.,
and Allison Martin.
The Keynote speaker was state
chaplain and Cedar Crest graduate
Dan Kreider. Honorary degree
plaques were presented to Robin
Balsbaugh, Dean Patches, and Ed
ward Albert Jason Balsbaugh and
Erica Homer were presented with
their Keystone Degree pins by
Harvey Smith, former area ag con
sultant.
