USDA-MO Dept Ag Market News
DAILY NATIONAL GRAIN SUM
MARY Wheel bids weee narrowly mixed,
today, with active harvest pressuring bids
while damage is being found in some
crops. Com bids were slightly lower due to
rainy forecasts in the Com Belt anas and
slowed export sales. Soybean bids were
higher as tradeis position themselves ahead
of Friday’s USDA Supply/Demand report.
Wheat mixed. Com 1 to 3 cents lower.
Sorghum 4 cents lower. Soybeans 2 to 7
cents higher. Harvest is moving north but
some hail damage is being reported in
some areas. Other places, good yields have
been recorded. Export sales were quiet
overnight for all commodities. Spring
wheat planting is slightly behind normal
due to recent wet conditions but the crop is
approximately 90 percent completed. Com
planting is finished and rain is being fore
cast over the next few days in the Midwest
Export sales have slowed down, pressuring
bids. Sharp gains were seen in bean pits
again today as buyers square up be- fore
Friday's USDA reports are released. Some
expect World supply and demand figures
to tighten. Planting progress is good but
reins being forecast over the next few days
would slow things down. Soybean meal
was slightly higher again.
