Dr. Ferman Moody, director of the bureau of Vocational- Technical Education, was the keynote speaker. Moody congrat ulated the members of the chap ter on their honors and encour aged FFA members to follow their dreams. The Star Greenhand Award was given to Charles Kessler. The Star Chapter Farmer Award went to Jodi Fetterolf. Heather Hollenbach earned the Star Agribusinessman Award. Kenneth Boyer, high school prin cipal, recognized Michelle Fetterolf as the DeKalb Agriculture Accomplishment Award winner and Rose Carper as recipient of the agriculture award. The honorary degree team presented the honorary degree to Mr. and Mrs. Ken Fetterolf, Mr. and Mrs. Rick Trego, Mr. and Mrs. David Eia, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Carper, Rose Balatincz, Donna Starliper, and Dr. Ferman Moody. Chapter proficiency awards were presented to Maria Trego, achievement in volunteerism; Jennifer Balatincz and Sandy Opdyke, agricultural communi cations; Todd Esbenshade, agri cultural mechanics technical systems; Rose Carper and Chuck Kessler, agricultural sales and service; Brandon Herman and Kate Heeter, beef production; Jennifer McWilliams and Melissa McWilliams, dairy production; Chuck Kessler, diversified live stock; Shane Eia, environmental science; Heidi Good, equine sci ence; Kate Heeter, extemporane ous public speaking; Jessica Walter and Kevin Walter, fruit and vegetable production; Daniel L.
