    Holstein Foundation Names Interns
BRATTLEBORO, Vt. Amy
Hagenow of Reedsville, Wis., and
Deanna Stanek of Fall Creek,
Wis., have been hired as commu
nications interns for the
Holstein Foundation.
Hagenow is currently attend
ing the University of Wisconsin-
Madison, where she will be a
senior, double majoring in dairy
science and agricultural journal
ism.
She is involved in many
activities on campus including
the Badger Dairy Club, the
Association of Women in
Agriculture, the UW-Madison
Dairy Cattle Judging Team, the
College of Agricultural and Life
Sciences Student Council, the
Calumet 4500 Gal. Tank w/23.1x23

National Agri-Marketing
Association and Collegiate FFA.
She is also serving as chairman
of the Wisconsin Junior
Activities Committee.
Hagenow is from Chris-Carl
Farms, a registered Holstein
dairy farm in Reedsville, Wis.
She is actively involved in all
aspects of the farm and has
received various awards and
scholarships. She was recently
named a semi-finalist in the
1999 Distinguished Junior
Member Contest.
Her intern duties will include
communications with and pub
licity coordination of Junior
activities, Junior Advisory
Committee communications and
$5,000
CALL
assisting in the coordination of
the National Junior Convention
in Boise, Idaho, June 18-22.
She will also represent the
Foundation at various events
throughout the summer.
Stanek will be a senior at the
University of Wisconsin-River
Falls and plans on graduating in
May, 2000, with a bachelor of sci
ence degree in agriculture mar
keting communications with a
minor in animal science.
At school, she is active in the
UW-RF Dairy Club and Delta
Theta Sigma Little Sisters.
Last summer Deanna worked
as the public relations intern
with the Wisconsin Holstein
Association. In this position she
represented the organization at
over 20 dairy functions through
out the summer; attending twi
light meetings, shows and other
