munity on April 21 for a major ex
pansion of Lancaster, PA - based
Pennfield Corporation’s livestock
feed manufacturing plant
According to Pennfield Presi
dent and Chief Executive Officer
Mike Ham the facility will be
built on the site of an existing mill
owned by the company. Horn said
the new South Montrose Feed
Mill will “cost $6 million to con
struct and will be one of the most
technologically-advanced and
most environmentally-friendly
mills in North America.
“Pennfield prides itself in being
a good corporate neighbor,” Horn
told the local government offi
cials, citizens and members of the
media gathered at the ground
breaking. adding, “It is our desire
to become an asset to the South
Montrose area and to the areas of

Corporation, said that sales from
the South Montrose Mill, which
are projected to be $5 million in
1999, should increase to $2O mil
lion per year in the future as Penn
field plans to become “The

to farmers in the mill’s Pennsylva
nia and New York service areas.”

to farmers in that state.
