National Grain Market St. Joseph, MO Wed May 19, 1999 USDA-MO Dept Ag Market News DAILY NATIONAL GRAIN SUM MARY Wanner, drier weather, good crop con dition. and planting progress pushed grain apd soybean bids lower for the day. Wheat 1 to 5 cents lower. Com 1 to 2 cents lower. Sorghum 3 cents lower. Soybeans 4 to 7 cents lower. Wheat bids were lower as favorable planting weather in spring wheat areas. Winter wheat harvest is moving further north in Texas. light overnight export wheat sales to South Korea kept bids from dropping too low. Com and soy bean bids were also lower due to the warm dry weather in the Midwest. Com planting has resumed in most areas and rapid emergence has been repotted on crops that have been planted over the past week. Many areas, however, ate still too wet and need several mote dry days. Some export optimism has limited declines in com. Lack of fresh export soybean sales, weighed on bean bids.
