HARRISBURG (Dauphin Co.) A trade delegation from Denmark visited Pennsylvania late last week as part of a visit to the United States to discuss trade issues with USDA and other offi cials in Washington D.C., and attend the Food Marketing Insti tute Show in Chicago. According to state Department of Agriculture officials, the trade delegation included H.E.K. Erik Tygesen, Denmark’s abmassador to the United States; and Henrik Dam Kristensen, minister of agri culture for Denmark. While in Pennsylvania, the dele gation toured facilities with Hat field Quality Foods Inc., Moyer Packing Inc., and Rodale Institute. They also toured the Capitol, and later in the day were the featured guests of a reception at a Harris burg hotel attended by 130 rep resentatives of Pennsylvania food processing companies and com modity producers. Hie visit to Pennsylvania was arranged througth the USDA, according to Russell C. Redding, state deputy secretary of agricul ture for marketing, promotion and program services. Redding said that, under Gov. Tom Ridge and Agriculture Sec retary Samuel E. Hayes Jr., efforts to expand trade for Pennsylvania agriculture have included commu nicating and developing a relation ship with USDA officials, so that.
