Crawford County DHIA Contracts
With Lancaster DHIA Lab Service
MANHEM (Lancas
ter Co.) The Craw
ford County DHIA
Board recently voted to
contract laboratory ser
vice and field training
with Lancaster DHIA.
Crawford is an inde
pendent DHIA organi
zation providing service
to dairymen in Craw
ford and surrounding
counties.
Under the new con
tract, Lancaster DHIA
laboratory will test
Crawford County DHIA
samples for fat, protein,
somatic cell levels, sol
ids not fat, and milk urea
nitrogen, as well as,
upload data to the
Raleigh Processing
Center.
Lancaster DHIA will
also provide certifica
tion and training support
for Crawford County
technicians.
Elaine Duncan, man
ager for Crawford
County, said she
believes the new service
will further enhance
benefits for Crawfords
County dairymen,
including access to
MUN reports.
There is a mutual
benefit in sharing the
same training programs,
as both organizations
use DRMS Raleigh for
processing.
