EASTERN REGION FROZEN EGGS.
APRIL 09. 1999. FEDERAL-STATE
White end blend prices were unchanged
to lower, and the balance was lower. The
market tone was steady to barely steady on
whites, and barely steady to weak on all
other categories. Demand was light to
moderate, and some inquiries to purchase
product for the remainder of the year were
reported. Supplies continued more than
adequate. Liquid and frozen eggs (ingre
dients included) processed under federal
inspection in the Eastern region for the
week ending April 3, 1999 were 9% less
than last week, and 16% less than the same
week last year. Shell egg supplies were
adequate to ample.
