slaughter steer sales were weak Trad
ing started out rather slow and never
reached the active levels of last week,
although prices held up fairly well Hol
stein steers and slaughter heifers sold
steady Slaughter cow prices were
mostly steady on a plain test and
slaughter bulls sold 1 00-1 50 higher in
active trading Supply included 67 per
cent slaughter steers and 11 percent
slaughter cows

slaughter steers sold mostly steady to

quality cattle, the market regained part
of the weakness shown early in the
week. Holstein steers and slaughter heif
ers were not well tested. Slaughter cow
prices were mostly steady, while
slaughter bulls sold steady on a thin
test. Supply included 23 percent slaugh
ter steers and 68 percent slaughter cows
