ATLANTA, GA.
MARCH 24, 1999
delmarva broiler/fryer
MARKET, federainstate
Movement of teady-to-cook whole birds
remained disappointingly slow. Offerings
we re readily available and in many
instances difficult to place. Live supplies
we re at least moderate; weights were mix
ed in a range of light to heavy. Processing
schedules were again reduced and just
moderate as several plants sought to keep
supplies from accumulating. Less than
trucklot asking prices were 1 cent lower at
50 to 64 cents. Trade sentiment continued
weak and unsettled. In the parts complex.
Breast items were in best balance; howev
er, all parts were available and competi
tively priced in an effort to stimulate a lim
ited demand.
