Demand good for all classes. General rains of 1/2 to 1 inch fell across the state Sunday night Good chances for rain again this weekend. Weigh-ups gaunt to average, few lull. Quality below last week with full range of plain through attractive, bulk average to attractive. Feeder cattle in medium to mod erate wheat flesh with more toward medium than last week. Light cattle mostly stockers and these in thin to medium flesh. Only limited numbers of stockers available with bulk supply feeder cattle off wheat. Slaughter cows firm to 2.00 higher. Slaughter bulls steady to 1.00 higher. Packer demand good as winter storm in the north has curtailed movement of cows to plants. Demand moderate to good for cows returning to the country. Total of 320 cows and bulls sold with 45 percent to packers. Receipts this week 13,200; last week 16,577; last year 9,912. Supply consisted of 80 percent yearlings over 600 lbs; 18 percent calves and short yearlings under 600 lbs; 2 percent cows and bulls.
