lean cows and prices were firm to 100
higher, while the fleshier types (less
than 85 pet) sold from 50-1 00

CATTLE: Compared to Tuesday,
slaughter steers and heifers sold JO-1.00
higher. Trading was active on a good supp
ly and the majority of the Choice cattle
were sold in the upper-end of the price
range. An attractive offering of Holstein
steers traded steady. The bulk of the
slaughter cows sold mostly steady, with the
Lean cows (over 85 pet) selling 1.00 lower
than Tuesday’s active market Slaughter
bulls sold steady. Supply included 44 per
cent slaughter steers and 32 percent
slaughter cows.
