Movement of ready-to-cook whole birds
was generally no better than fair and was
often limited to standing committments.
Seller offerings varied from plant to plant,
but were fully adequate to ample on the 23
and 3 pound sizes. Heavier weights were
adequate to closely cleared. Live supplies
were mostly moderate; weights were light
to heavy, mostly desirable to light Pro
cessing schedules were moderate to mod
erately heavy. Less than trucklot asking
prices were unchanged at 52 to 66 cents. In
the parts market, wings were in heaviest
supply, bone-in breasts in closest balance.
Other cuts were fully adequate to ample.

ment was about steady. Demand was light
Supplies were at least adequate. Liquid and
frozen eggs (ingredients Included) pro
cessed under federal inspection in the East
ern region for the week ending February 6,
1999 were 4% less than last week, and 12%
less than the same week last year. Shell egg
supplies were adequate.
