slaughter steers and heifers sold 50
higher Momentum carried from last
week and trading was active on an aver
age supply Holstein steer prices were
steady to 50 higher There were not
enough slaughter cows on hand to fully
test the market, but slaughter hulls sold
tirm to 150 higher Supply included
57 percent slaughter steers and 12 per
cent slaughter cows

slaughter steers sold lutly steady The
modest offering included a couple ol
consignments of supreme quality steers
that sold for a generous premium Hol
stein steers and slaughter heifers were
not well tested The slaughter cow mar
ket was mostly steady when compared to
last Thursday, with some weakness
noted that was mostly due to quality or
weighing condition Slaughter bulls

CATTLE: Compared to Tuesday,
slaughter steers and heifers sold steady.
Demand and trading activity were typical
on a moderate supply. An attractive offer
ing of Holstein sleets sold .50-1.00 higher
in active trading. Slaughter cow prices
tanged steady to 1.00 lower, with the full
decline placed on the leaner types (over 85
pet). Slaughter bulls sold weak to 1.00 low
er. Supply included 33 percent slaughter
steers and 45 percent slaughter cows.
