Instead, combining a rap song, interactive skit, and a six-foot tall walking cheeseburger dressed in purple and day-glo pink, the Pen nsylvania Beef Council is teaching kids about food safety. Recently the mascot, “Patty Melt,” and her friends made an appearance at Harrisburg’s Dow ney Elementary School as part of the council’s new school food safety program.
