CATTLE; Compared to Tuesday,
slaughter steers and heifers sold fully
steady. Quality was above average and late
demand was just as good as the opening.
Holstein steers sold .50-1.00 higher in
active trading. Slaughter cow demand was
very good and prices were mostly 2.00
higher, with the highest prices paid late in
the sale. Slaughter bulls sold fully steady.
Supply included 35 percent slaughter
steers and 34 percent slaughter cows.

tion, vealets sold steady and slaughter
calves were not well tested. Holstein bulls
returning to feed sold 20.00- 50.00 higher
with very good demand. The highest prices
were paid in the State graded sale, which
began this week. Every Thursday, calves
will be graded by a Slate livestock Grader
from 11:00 AM-4:00 PM with the Number
1 bulls and the vealer calves sold around
4:30 from a prepared sheet Holstein heif
ers sold steady with Monday's light test
Around 80 percent sold to return to feed.
