were readily available on most items with
most sellers willing to negotiate. Retail and
distributive movement was mixed with
wide spread promotional activity coveting
a wide range of holiday food items giving
consumers many choices. The market tone
was at best study with traders still cau
tious and limiting receipts.

GLANCE
Extra large brown prices were higher in
New England, all prices were unchanged
on the West Coast, and elsewhere, medium
prices were unchanged. The market tone
continued generally steady for the larger
sizes, and steady to weak for mediums.
Demand was mostly moderate to good, and
was best where retail features were a fac
tor. Supplies were dose on the West Coast,,
otherwise, supplies tanged adequate to
ample with mediums in the longest posi
tion. Breaking stock supplies were fully
adequate to ample, and the demand was
light and unaggressive. Light type fowl
were at least suffldent for daughter sche
dules.
