FEEDER PIGS WEDNESDAY 2140
LAST WEEK 1650 LAST YEAR 1414
TREND: Compared to last week, feeder
pigs were not well tested. The feeder pig
auction turned out to be a slaughter pig sale
as 97 percent of supply was sold for
slaughter. Supply outweighed demand and
activity from hog producers was almost
non-existent. Prices for slaughter pigs were
sharply lower on weights under 30 lbs, but
fully steady for heavier weights. All pigs
weighed and graded on arrival and add by
the hundred weight.
