lower. Demand good for feeders. Steer
calves steady to ZOO lower, heifer calves
2.00- lower. Demand moderate to
good for calves with best action on steers.
Supply included a moderate number of
feeders off a short turn on wheat Quality
plain to mostly aver age. Weigh-ups aver,
age to gaunt. Feeder cattle in medium
flesh; calves in medium to fleshy condi
tions. Slaughter cows and bulls 2.00-3.00
higher. Packer demand very good from
south Texas buyers but light from all other
areas. 700 cows and bulls sold with 70 per
cent to packets. Receipts this week 10,100;
last week 10.04 S; last year 8.216. Supply
consisted of 49 percent yearlings and
calves over 600 lbs; 44 percent calves
under 600 lbs; 7 percent cows and bulls.
