Middle Atlantic) Board of
Directors voted unanimously to
approve 1999 program plans
and budget. During last week's
annual budget meeting,
ADA/DC unveiled aggressive
plans to increase dairy product
demand in the Middle Atlantic
region.
In 1999, ADA/DC will extend
Diary Management, Inc. (DMI)
national programs to Middle
Atlantic consumers. ADA/DC's
plans to include more localized
and extensive advertising, com
munications, and nutrition edu
cation programs building on
DMl's plans. Both DMI and
ADA/DC initiatives will primar
ily target children ages 3-12 and
their moms.
To reach consumers locally,
ADA/DC will develop regional

retail arena. Other plans
include increasing support for
dairy princesses and capitaliz
ing in the long-term relationship
milk has with Middle Atlantic
baseball teams. Building on
existing nutrition education
and advertising projects, these
plans create a more integrated
checkoff program to increase
dairy demand.

new organization's plans togeth
er so quickly after the merger.
