CATTLE Compared to Thursday,
slaughter steers and heifers sold
mostly steady, instances 50 lower
Buyers seemed to be in need of cattle but
were not excited about paying higher
prices, even for the fancier types, as
most all sales were within a narrow
price range Holstein steers were mostly

CATTLE: Compared to Tuesday,
demand was surprisingly good despite
negative market indicators; as slaughter
steem, heifers, and Holstein steers all sold
fully steady. Trading opened active and the
sale moved at a quick pace, maintaining
the momentum that was developed early.
Slaughter cow prices were mostly .SO low
er on moderate demand and an attractive
offering of slaughter bulls sold steady to
1.00 higher than Monday. Supply included
34 percent slaughter steers and 37 percent
slaughter cows.

test. Buyers turned up the demand for
Holstein bull calves returning to feed as

heifer trade continues active and prices
were fully steady. Around 88 percent of
supply returned to feed.
