Demand good for light supply of feeders. Steer and heifer calves 2.00- higher with very good demand. Rains of half to 1.5 inches crossed the state Sunday evening and this was perfectly timed for continued wheat growth. Wheat north of 1-40 continues excellent for graz ing and calf market responding according ly. First freeze for central and southern Oklahoim las not yet occuted thus break ing the standing 100 year old record. Bulk supply continues to be calves. Calf quality average to attractive with Ugh percentage blacks, Limousin cross and Charolais cross. Weigh-ups average to gaunt Calf flesh medium to moderately fleshy, feeders in medium flesh. Slaughter cows steady to 1.00 higher, advance on Booers and Break ers. Slaughter bulls 1.00 lower. Packer demand moderate. Demand very good for thin cows and bred cows returning to the country. This year's drought proven tough on farmers as movement of cows to market has surpassed last year's total cow count by over 8,000 head thus far. 770 cows and bulls sold with 00 percent to packets. Receipts this week 8.356; last week 6,339; last year 6,761. Supply consisted of 36 per cent yearlings and calves over 600 lbs; SS percent calves under 600 lbs; 9 percent cows and bulls.
