The quality of supply was very good and prices were steady to .50 higher. Holstein steers and slaugh ter heifers traded mostly steady in a limited test. A good offering of slaughter cows sold steady to .50 higher and slaughter bull prices were weak. Supply included 38 percent slaughter steers and 28 percent slaughter cows. De mand continues to be good on this week’s light run, despite the reduced holiday slaughter. A limited supply of Holstein steers traded steady and slaughter heifers were not well tested. Slaughter cow trading was active and prices ranged firm to .50 higher. Slaughter bulls were largely steady in a light test.
