Quality of supply was much improved from last week, but continued pressure leading up to next week’s turkey holiday held prices 1.00-150 lower than last week. A light test of Holstein steers sold mostly steady. Slaughter cows sold fully steady and bull prices were 1.00, instances 2.00 lower. A light test of slaughter calves sold 10.00 higher, heavier weights were mostly steady to 5.00 lower. Trade turned very active for Holstein bull farm calves, soon after the start of the sale, and prices were 5.00-15.00 higher. Holstein heifeis were not well tested Monday, but prices definitely had a higher undertone and demand was very good. Around 88 percent returned to feed.
