    A new book entitled Tomorrow
Finally Came! is authored by
Darwin G. Braund, Ph.D., P.A.S.
The book is a result of a 40-year
dream to do international work in
agriculture. It describes his experi
ences, frustrations, joys, friends,
and contributions during six
months as an agricultural advisor
in post-communist Poland from
June to December 1995. He
returned in December 1997 to note
changes and visit friends. The last
chapter is titled “Tow Years
Later.”
Braund was raised on a small
family dairy and poultty farm in
northeastern Pennsylvania with
his roots in food animal agricul
ture. During his professional
career he served as an agricultural
extension worker in four states,
Pennsylvania, Kentucky, New
York, and North Carolina. In addi
tion, he spent 25 years in agribusi
ness with two different employers.

A member of more than a dozen
professional organizations, he is
co-holder of seveal patents in the
U.S. and Canada for breakth
roughs in methods of improving
feeds for dairy cattle. His alma
mater, Penn State University, has
twice honored him with Distin
guished Alumnus and Alumni Ser
vice Awards. He was also named
Distinguished Alumnus by Delta
Theta Sigma Fraternity at Penn
State University. Upon retirement
from N.C. State University,
Braund became curator of the Pas
te Agricultural Museum at Penn
State’s Russell E. Larson Agricul
tural Research center at Rock
Springs.
The paperback book is 8 1/2 x 5
