Heifer calves 1.00-2.00 lower. Feeder cattle steady in a light test. Supply con tinues mostly calves and very few year lings. Demand moderate. Several sets of calves in thin condition with many in aver age flesh. This not typical of a normal fall run in which calves are fleshy but the sum mer draught stressed cows causing farmers to wean calves early. Quality plain to aver age, few attractive. Rains of 2-6 inches fell over the weekend with heaviest tains and flooding along 1-40 and northward. Slaughter cows t.OO-2.00 higher. Slaugh ter bulls 2.00 higher. Packer demand good for light receipts. Demand remains good for thin cows destined to feedlols or return ing to country. Total of 485 cows and bulls sold with 45 percent going to packets. Receipts this week 8,900; last week 14,860; last year 14,516. Supply consisted of3l percent yearlings and calves over 600 lbs; 64 percent calves under 600 lbs; 5 per cent cows and bulls.
