Correpsondent NEW CASTLE (Lawrence Co ) Grand champions of each of the si c dairy breeds returned to the ring to compete for the title of supreme champion of the Lawrence County Fair at the end of the two-day dairy show. Judge Brian Garrison, Tiffin, Ohio, congratulated the exhibitors on the quality of their animals and their show before tapping the Holstein, Campbell Run CM Lou, supreme. The grand champion Holstein, a 5-year-old, was exhibited by Mark Campbell of Ford City and was also named best uddered Holstein. Reserve grand champion Holstein went to McKissick Farm with Altwi Mae Steady Mona, an aged cow Junior Champion Holstein was Scottown Counselor Pretty, a winter yearling shown by McKissick Farm. McKissick Farm also had the reserve junior champion, Conn-Qu black Mark Molly, a fall calf. Best bred and owned went to Ryan Rynd, Mercer, with his cow any age producing 100,000 pounds, Rynd-Home Starbuck Pretzel- ET. Reserve grand champion went to Level Square Smoky Band, an aged cow owned by Melanie Brockway of Bessemer. Liggett also showed junior champion, Trotacre Magic Mamies Baby, a fall yearling. Reserve junior champion, a win ter yearling named Oakland Pemson Lydia, was shown by Mary Horn. Grand champion Jersey went to JEM Hermitage Iris Izzy- Twin, a 5-year-old shown by Roberta McConnell of Volant. McConnell’s Izzy was also named best uddered and best owned and bred Jersey. Cass Ridge Farm, Jackson Center, exhibited the reserve grand champion Jersey, GR Legend Samson Hope, a 100,000-pound cow. Lackey Farm, Clarks Mills, showed the junior champion, Lackey’s Juno Lilly Bell, a sum mer yearling and the reserve junior champion 3K Farm Imperial Noel, a winter calf. Designer Gene’s Cassie, a junior 2-year-old shown by Bridget Whiting Gerber, Edinburg, was named grand champion and best uddered milking shorthorn. Reserve grand champion went to Designer Gene’s Farm, Edinburg, and their senior 2, Designer Gene’s Cassie. Masonic Homes Corben’s Mel, a 5-year-old shown by Crystal Bozlinski, Wampum, was selected grand champion and best uddered Ayrshire. Reserve grand champion went to Jerry Wilson, Portersville, with Pure-Ayr Requests Bobbie, a senior 3-year-old. Heather Bauder, New Galilee, showed the junior champion, Tollgate Ayr Sunny Sue, a winter year ling. The reserve junior champi on, a spring calf named Deem Green Lane Reward Rose, was shown by Nichole Bozlinski- Deem. Campwiss Supreme Faith, an aged cow owned by Dick Martin, Volant; Doug Beatty, Enon Valley; and Mark Campbell, Ford City, was selected grand champion and best uddered Brown Swiss. Jason Kennedy of Butler showed the reserve grand champion, Four Season Pat Greta, a senior three. Junior champion honors went to Swamp Acre Birdie, a winter calf owned by Dick Martin and Doug Beatty.
