A 1998 graduate of Juniata High School, Adam was a mem ber of the FFA and National Hon or Society and was named “Stu dent of the Month.” He is a mem ber of Ebenezer Church. The 1998 World Dairy Expo hosted sales of five major international breeds Ayrshire, Brown Swiss, Guern sey, Jersey and Holstein at the Dape County Expo Center in Madison, Wisconsin, September 30 to October 4. Following is a short summary of each sale. Guernsey Classic International Trombone Syndicate & Semex paid $7,100 for OCS Dairy Opals Trombone at th,e Guernsey Classic Sale on Wed./ Sept. 30. OCS Dairy Opals Trombone was sired by Spring Walk Karis Trumpet, and owned by OCS Dairy in Jef ferson, Md. There were 24 lots sold, with an average sale price of $2,286. Buy ers came from 11 states and two countries. The show was managed by Guernsey Marketing Service. International Blue Ribbon Ayrshire Sale Maryland’s Glitter Boys paid top dollar $7,100 for Spring View Glitter at the International Blue Ribbon Ayrshire Sale on Wed., Sept. 30. The Ayrshire was sired by Ben Fetm Jade and own ed by Jeff Stevens and Gary West of Troy, Ontario, Canada. Tire sale included 13 lots, with an average sale price of $3,470. Buyers at the sale represented six states and one country. The show was managed by Jason Devino of Arrowhead Events. Top of the World Jersey Sale Vantage Pitino Donna was the top seller at the Top of the World Berks County Holstein Club READING (Berks Co.) The Berk’s County Holstein Club’s annual meeting and banquet is slated for Friday, Nov. 13, at the Ontelaunee Grange. Tickets are $6 for adults and $1 for children (5-12).
