fairly good balance. Live auppliea were
moderate; weighta varied in a full range of
light to heavy. Proceiaing achedulea were
moderate to heavy. Leaa than tiucklot Bik
ing pricei were unchanged at 60 to 74
cenu. Trade aentiment was about steady.
In the parts complex, all items were at least
adequate for current inquiry. Breast cuts
were in heaviest balance. Leg quarters and
wings were hilly adequate to ample with
machine cut wings in the longer position.

unchanged on the balance. The market lone

Demand waa fair to good, rooatly mod
erate. Supplies were about adequate, Liq
uid and frozen eggs (ingredients included)
under federal inspection in the Eastern reg
ion for the week ending September 26,
1998 were 4% higher than last week, and
3% higher than the same week last year.
Raw material offerings decreased under a
steady to fully steady trade sentiment.

cent lower, and mediums were two cent
higher. The market lone continued barely
steady to weak for the large sizes, and fully
steady to firm for mediums. Movement
into retail channels was light to instances
fairly good, mostly fair. Inter-dealer
demand for graded large dedined and was
light. Supplies of extra-large were adequ
ate to instances fully adequate, large were
adequate to ample, and mediums were no
more than adequate.

Large and extra-large prices were
unchanged to lower in the Northern,
Southeast, and Midwest, and unchanged
elsewhere.
Medium prices were unchanged to higher
in the Northeast and Southeast, and
unchanged elsewhere. The market tone
was steady to weak for the large sizes, and
steady to firm for mediums and smalls.
Demand remained mixed from light to
instances good, mostly moderate, and was
best where featured. Supplies were adequ
ate to ample for graded large, and ranged
barely adequate to fully adequate for other
sizes. Inquiry for breaking stock was light
to moderate, and regular supplies of shell
eggs were usually adequate, hut an occa
sional (dam sought extra eggs. Light type
hen supplies remained at least adequate.
